Performer

Jacob Williams is a freelance puppeteer, maker and actor. He was a core artist at Terrapin Puppet Theatre in Hobart for four years appearing in works such as Stormy Nights, My Sister's An Alien and Dark at the Top of the Stairs for the '10 days on the Island Festival.' He toured internationally with Black Hole Inc.'s production of Caravan, and in 2005 completed a post-graduate degree at the Victoria College of the Arts Drama School in Animateuring (theatre making). He was Assistant Puppetry Director for the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, his television credits include New McDonald's Farm for Channel 9. For 'Lemony S' he premiered a new adult puppet work Apples and Ladders at the Malthouse Theatre in September 2006 and remounted at La Mama 2007.  He most recently starred as one half of the T-Rex amongst other large reptiles in the Arena show 'Walking with Dinosaurs' which toured throughout Australia and America. For Polyglot he has toured “Muckheap” throughout Queensland and created the shadow puppetry for “Head Hunter”.
