Polyglot supports and contributes to artist, artform and industry development through its Connect program. Connect recognizes the important role Polyglot plays within the arts industry, as a resource, a space for supported exploration, a creator of links between artists, and a contributor to artform development in puppetry and children's theatre.
Connect throws open Polyglot's doors to bring in the sector's energy, provide a strong connection with new art, new artists and new ideas, support skills development and keep artform experimentation alive and at our fingertips through the following programs:
- Venue hire: Polygot operates the Cromwell Road Theatre, a theatre space which is increasingly encouraged as a space for creative development and rehearsal. >more info
- TAP Residencies: In 2008 and 2009, we offered creative development of puppetry/visual theatre works from independent artists and companies by offering cash, venue space, advice, documentation and critical evaluation. This program has now come to an end. >more info
- Networking: Polyglot supports a sophisticated information network for artists and arts organisations.
- Employment opportunities: Polyglot provides employment to a wide range of artists and arts workers. >more info
